Stress Pattern: The Tense Thinker

This isn’t just stress.

It’s the clenched jaw in a quiet room,
The ache behind your eyes after hours of focus,
And the rush of thoughts when your body begs for stillness.

You’re holding it all together, tightly.

This blend is for the mind that struggles to switch off,
The soul that sighs often to release the pressure,
And the neck that barely softens.

With every sip, let the tension unravel. Let the Qi* move. Let your mind exhale.

*Qi in Chinese Medicine means 'Vital Energy'

Ingredients

Jasmine Flower infused Green Tea & Rose Petals

Blend Description

Flavour Profile: Fragrant and floral with a smooth finish.

Soften the Tension is a fragrant blend with roots dating back to the Song Dynasty, a tradition that spans more than 300 years.

Jasmine green tea is created by layering jasmine blossoms over fresh green tea leaves, infusing them with a sweet, floral taste and aroma, with no artificial flavours. This blend is simply pure bliss in a cup.

In Chinese Medicine, jasmine and green tea are considered a classic pairing, traditionally used to boost mental clarity, ease tension, and support healthy digestion. Delicate rose petals are added to enhance the calming, heart-opening qualities of this timeless blend.

This blend is lightly caffeinated, offering calm focus without the jitters. Thanks to the natural synergy of L-theanine and caffeine in green tea, the duo helps restore calmness while gently uplifting your energy, creating a balanced lift in every cup.

From a Chinese medicine perspective, when Qi (vital energy) in the Liver pathway becomes stuck, (often reflected in biomedicine as the nervous system being stuck in “stress mode,”) it can manifest as signs & symptoms of chronic tension and stress in both body and mind.

Common symptoms include tightness in the neck and shoulders, sore or strained eyes, frequent sighing, feeling wired yet tired, difficulty unwinding, a restless mind, mood swings, or PMS.

Enjoy this blend early in the morning and/or during your afternoon slump (around 12–3 pm). It’s lightly caffeinated, so adjust the timing based on your caffeine sensitivity.

Enjoy your ritual.

Brewing Guide

SERVING SIZE:

1 teaspoon/ 1 cup (250 ml)
OR
2 ORΔ-FLŌ spoons/ 1 cup (250 ml)

WATER TEMPERATURE:

85 °C – Hot water that’s cooled for 2–3 minutes after boiling.

STEEPING TIME:

2–4 minutes

SERVING NOTES:

Don’t pour boiling water straight onto the leaves as it makes the tea taste bitter.

If you’re using a regular electric kettle with no temperature control, simply let the water sit to cool for 2–3 minutes before steeping. This helps protect the delicate green tea leaves and avoid bitterness.

If you like it light and gentle, brew less time (~2 minutes).

If you like stronger flavour, brew longer (~4 minutes).

You can even use the same leaves again for a second cup stepping it for longer each time to extract the benefits and flavours.

Enjoy your ritual, One Sip at a Time.
